a la mode exteriorTwelve years ago, local businesswoman Patti Platt and partners opened doors on a lingerie boutique for one key reason: they had struggled for years to find a properly fitting bra.

From 2003 to today, á la mode has thrived in offering custom fittings by professionally certified bra fitters and carrying over 120 sizes, from 28 to 44 in band size and AA to K in cup size.   

“Finding the proper bra fit is a challenge most women are familiar with,” said Platt.  “Each woman is unique in size and proportion and each woman has different needs based on her preferences and stage of life.”

In addition to basic and high-fashion bras, á la mode also carries sports, maternity and nursing bras and an extensive selection of sleepwear and panties. They offer Ladies’ Night Bra Fit Parties for groups, online shopping and VIP notifications for upcoming events and promotions.

On Thursday, August 20, á la mode will kick off their 12th Anniversary Sale with up to 75% off select items and a free Fleur’t panty with a minimum purchase of $35 while supplies last. That evening from 5-7 pm, the public is invited to a la mode’s Anniversary Party with cake and a champagne toast.

“We are proud to be an independent, locally-owned business,” said Platt. “We are very appreciative for the support of our community and look forward to many more years having fun with the business we love.”
