Middle children to be honored by Baysox on August 12th

Middle-Child-Day-2015National Middle Child Day is Wednesday, August 12, a day that always seems to get ignored or forgotten. But the Bowie Baysox are throwing some love to the self-proclaimed “forgotten child” by hosting their inaugural Middle Child Appreciation Night! Come out to Prince George’s Stadium and take your hat off to all middle children as the Baysox take on the Richmond Flying Squirrels at 7:05 p.m.

Print out a Baysox International Middle Child Union (I.M.C.U) Membership card from the Baysox Facebook or Twitter accounts and bring it to the box office the day of the game to receive $5 off a reserved seat ticket (limit one discount per transaction). It will be an event that even the most attention deprived Middle Child won’t soon forget. The evening will feature middle child themed music throughout the game, middle child promotions and much more.

Even the date of the event is consistent with the middle child theme. “It’s only fitting this is happening on a Wednesday,” explained Baysox Promotions Manager Chris Rogers. “It’s like the forgotten Middle Child of the week!”

I.M.C.U founder Bruce Hopman is thrilled that the Baysox are giving middle children some of the attention they deserve. “This kind of recognition is a giant leap forward for Middle Child-kind,” said Hopman. “Although the next day we can go back to being cast aside and ignored.”

Baysox Baseball – We’ll Knock Your ‘Sox Off. The Baysox 2015 season, their 23rd as the class Double-A Affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, is underway at Prince George’s Stadium. Come see some of the top Orioles prospects play here first. To keep up with Baysox news during the season, visit baysox.com.
