Providence Center’s Moran Classic raises $77K

Providence CenterProvidence Center, a non-profit organization that serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Anne Arundel County, announced today that its 23rd Annual Moran Golf Classic, presented by Severna Park-based Moran Insurance, Chiron Technology Services, a Columbia-based cyber security and technology company, and Reliable Contracting Company, a Gambrills-based construction company, raised $77,000 for the organization’s programs and services.  The Classic was held on June 1st at Queenstown Harbor.  The event featured two golf courses, nearly 200 golfers, a silent auction, and a raffle.  This is the largest annual fundraising event for the organization.

Providence Center CEO Chuck Coble released the following statement: “Our 2015 Classic was a huge success for Providence Center and the men and women who count on us. We broke records this year and that would not have been possible without the hard work of our committee members and event volunteers and the generosity of our sponsors and silent auction donors. I want to particularly thank our Presenting Sponsors Moran Insurance, Chiron Technology Services, and Reliable Contracting Company.”

Coble continued, “We at Providence Center are proud of our role in our community, supporting those with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve their goals in life and make important contributions to the world around us. We are grateful for the community partnerships we have developed that are helping us advance this work.” He added, “Some of our most steadfast partners contributed to this year’s event, as well as some new contributors. We are grateful to everyone who participated and are looking forward to our 2016 tournament.”
