A home believed to be unoccupied caught fire this evening in the 900 block of Bay Ridge Road in Annapolis, Upon arrival  firefighters saw flames from the dwelling and called for an immediate second alarm due to the heat conditions.

Hoses were stretched across Bay Ridge Road for about an hour and police were directing traffic. This section of Bay Ridge Road is near the McDonalds and police were deflecting inbound traffic either onto Hillsmere Drive or Bay Ridge Avenue toward downtown Annapolis.
