Annapolis Shakespeare Company comes to Reynolds Tavern

A Helen Hayes Award © is a theater award named for the famed actress Helen Hayes to recognize excellence in professional theater in the Washington, D.C. area since 1983. The awards are named in tribute to Helen Hayes, known as the “First Lady of American theatre.” They are presented by theatreWashington (formerly known as the Helen Hayes Awards organization), which is the unified voice of Washington theatre since the 1980s.

The Servant of Two Masters is playing every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. now through September 29th. Goldini’s The Servant of Two Masters adapted by Tim Mooney is presented by Annapolis Shakespeare Company in the courtyard at Reynold’s Tavern in Historic Downtown Annapolis. Tickets are $20-25 and available at the door or online at AnnapolisShakespeare.org. This 18th-century farce follows Truffaldino, a minion who tries to double his earnings by working for two bosses. Things don’t go as planned, of course. Mistaken identities and missed connections lead to all manner of tomfoolery. Enjoy dinner, drinks, terrific ambiance, plus laughs with ASC this Summer!
