Annapolis Mayor Michael Pantelides announces the June Art Exhibit at City Hall will showcase the creative photographs of Wilford Wildes Scott.
An art historian for more than 30 years, Mr. Scott began his second career as a photographic artist after retiring from the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. His work has been exhibited in Annapolis, Los Angeles, Texas, Colorado, Vermont and Budapest, Hungary.
Residents will find familiar scenes such as City Dock and Harry Browne’s shown in a unique way, reflecting the artist’s vision of distinctive patterns of light and shadow, arrangement of forms, and emphatic color.
The artwork is in City Hall through mid-June and anyone can come in to enjoy the art exhibit Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. The next artist will be Cindy Fletcher whose work will go on display starting the week of June 29.
