Brooklyn man busted fro growing pot in yard

potOn June 1, 2015 Northern District’s Tactical Narcotics Unit (TNT) received a citizen’s complaint of marijuana being grown in the yard in the 4100 block of Belle Grove Road. TNT Detectives responded to the area and observed several plants in the yard. A search warrant was obtained for the residence. On June 1, 2015 at 1500 hours TNT with assistance from Northern District’s Tactical Patrol Unit (TPU) executed the search warrant. Based on the search marijuana plants and heroin were located.

Detectives seized the following:

  • 20 Marijuana Plants (estimated street value $6,915.00)
  • 4 Heroin capsules (estimated street value $42.00)

Suspect(s) and Charges:

Jeffery Daniel Overstreet, 49 of the 4100 block Belle Grove Road was charged with possession of CDS – Marijuana and Heroin and manufacturing CDS – Marijuana
