Free tasting event at Cleo’s Fine Oils

Cleos Fine Oils

Cleos Fine OilsFarmers’ Markets are open for business throughout the region and residents are enjoying the early crop of fruits & vegetables. As we dig in, Cleo’s Fine Oils and Vinegars of Annapolis offers this reminder: Variety is the spice of life.

This June Cleo’s will showcase how healthy oils & vinegars can transform local seasonal produce into a different taste each night.

“From spring to fall, we are blessed with an every-changing variety of crops from local farmers,” said Saleta Cameron, co-owner of Cleo’s. “We love to show people how healthy olive oils and vinegars can work with locally grown produce to add taste variety to everyday menus.”

Several examples cited by Cameron: asparagus roasted in Agrumato Lemon Olive Oil; Salad greens with White Reserved Balsamic; and Tomatoes with Antica Caroli Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

The public is invited to a free tasting event Thursday, June 18, from 5-7 pm, at Cleo’s in the Annapolis Towne Centre. That night, guests will enjoy complimentary wine and samples of locally grown fruits and vegetables prepared using healthy oils and vinegars. Information will also be available on how home cooks can make the most of seasonal produce with a variety of tastes.

Also that evening, guests will receive 20% off of any oil or vinegar purchase.

Throughout the month of June, Cleo’s will also feature ideas for serving fresh local produce on Facebook (cleosfineoils), Twitter (@cleosfineoils) and Instagram (cleosoils).

Locally owned Cleo’s Fine Oils and Vinegars is at 1915 Towne Centre Blvd. in the Annapolis Towne Centre.
