Ten students were recognized as graduates of Anne Arundel Community College’s Police Entrance-Level Training Academy at a Police Academy Completion Ceremony June 5 at the Arnold campus.
Providing the keynote address was Judge Wanda Keyes Heard, associate judge of the Baltimore City Circuit Court, 8th Judicial Circuit. The top academic student, Recruit Officer Graduate Stephen M. Jones of Grasonville, gave the student address.
Other students who completed the program are: Welby G. Burgone of Gambrills, Denzel A. Dortch of Hyattsville, Ryan T. Fogarty of Pasadena, Joshua V. Fortiz of Centreville, Ron B. Govan of Edgewater, Joshua M. Guiles of Easton, Bryan E. Hidalgo of Glen Burnie, Kenneth L. Hopson of Odenton and Sean M. Ricewick of Severn.
AACC was certified as a Police Entrance-Level Training Academy by the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions in 1994. Students are required to pass a series of comprehensive examinations and practical work which demonstrate proficiency in more than 500 objectives.
