Herrmann Advertising wins five national awards

herrmannHerrmann Advertising | Branding | Technology of Annapolis was honored with five awards for campaigns and projects recently completed for area healthcare and financial services industry clients. The awards include three Healthcare Advertising Awards and two Communicator Awards.

The 32nd annual Healthcare Advertising Awards competition, conducted by Healthcare Marketing Report, recognized Herrmann for its ad campaigns and collateral produced for health departments in Anne Arundel and Prince George’s counties and the Chesapeake Eye Care and Laser Center in Annapolis. The Anne Arundel County Department of Health’s “When Will You Stop Smoking?” outreach was a silver award winner in the Total Ad Campaign With TV category. A bronze award in the brochure category went to the Prince George’s County Health Department’s “Anyone Can Be A Victim of Domestic Violence” collateral. Chesapeake Eye Care and Laser Center’s magazine testimonial ad series was also honored with an award.

More than 3,500 entries were received in this year’s Healthcare Advertising Awards, making it the largest healthcare advertising awards competition and one of the ten largest of all advertising awards. A national panel of judges selected winners based on creativity, quality, message effectiveness, consumer appeal, graphic design and overall impact.

The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts honored Herrmann with two 2015 Communicator Awards of Distinction. The silver-level awards recognized the agency’s work on the Howard County Health Department’s breastfeeding campaign in the Design and Print category and Cardinal Financial Corporation for its 2014 Annual Report in the Annual Report-Cover Design category.

The Communicator Awards is the leading international awards program honoring creative excellence for communication professionals. This year’s Communicator Awards received thousands of entries from companies and agencies of all sizes, making it one of the largest awards of its kind in the world. The competition is sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a “Who’s Who” of acclaimed media, advertising and marketing firms.
