Blue Angels over the Severn River (PHOTOS)

Yesterday, Eye On Annapolis was stationed to capture the Blue Angels from every vantage point. Michael Finn was on the United States Naval Academy yard, Mark Dignen was aboard Watermark’s Harbor Queen and these photos, by Glenn A. Miller Photography were taken from a private home across the Severn River with the USNA as a backdrop.

The Blue Angels dedicated today’s performance to U.S. Naval Academy Midshipman Justin Zemser who was killed in the north Philadelphia train derailment May 12.. The son of Howard and Susan Zemser, Justin was a native of Rockaway Beach, N.Y. and attended Channel View High School. He was a two-year letterwinner of Channel View High School football as a wide receiver, and served as team captain for the team in 2011 and 2012. In 2012, he was named to the All-Borough Team.

After high school, Justin attended the United States Naval Academy where he was a member of the sprint football team and was secretary of the Jewish Midshipman Club.

As their final maneuver and salute, a lone bugler played taps as the narrator explained the maneuver:
