In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Mitchell Gallery at St. John’s College, the community is invited to the special event “Three Centuries of Silver in Annapolis: Creating, Collecting, Cherishing.” Participants will explore the integral role that silver objects played in the history of our city, state, and nation—from the colonial era to American naval ships at sea. The event, which features illustrated talks by noted experts about historic silver in Annapolis and a Silver Tea and Wine Reception catered by Reynolds Tavern, will take place on Friday, May 15 from 1 to 5 p.m. in Mellon Hall’s Conversation Room at St. John’s College. All participants will receive a souvenir program and guide to local silver collections.
