Samaritan House in Annapolis has received the “Outstanding Treatment Program” award from the Washington/Baltimore High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) program.
Samaritan House, founded in 1971, is a state-certified residential treatment facility for men who have completed detoxification but are still recovering from addiction. Samaritan House offers a full range of support services in the treatment and recovery process, including outpatient treatment, individual counseling, group counseling, family services & counseling, vocational & job counseling, and life skills counseling.
HIDTA recognized Samaritan House for comprehensive services and “substantial commitment to providing effective and qualified treatment.”
The Washington/Baltimore HIDTA is a federal program administered by the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy with the goal of disrupting the market for illegal drugs by dismantling drug trafficking and money laundering organizations.
Samaritan House, located just off Forest Drive on Greenbriar Lane, launched a Campus of Recovery expansion plan last year to double the capacity of clients served and expand the continuum of care.
