On Saturday, April 25, 2015, artist and musicians will join forces at the second annual FREE “Arts in the Park Festival” at the Chesapeake Arts Center located at 194 Hammonds Lane, Brooklyn Park, Maryland 21225. Local Maryland artists will exhibit and offer their work for sale, while a festival of live music is presented from 11AM-3PM.
The free outdoor festival will include a live performance by Thapasya School of Dance, An Instrument Petting Zoo with the Baltimore Gamers Symphony Orchestra, Face painting, Live animals and bio facts with Echoes of Nature, Art activities and games. Local artist will be selling Jewelry, Pottery, Prints and Photography.
The music component of the festival is Annapolis Classic Rock band, Chasing Verity. The winners of the 2014 Chesapeake Arts Center’s “Be the Band” competition. They will perform from 1pm-3pm in front of the Hammonds Lane Theatre.
The Arts in the Park Festival is a great opportunity to see work of local artist and to enjoy some good music. For the music part of the festival, feel free to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
