Day of Remembrance at Kneseth Israel

Yom Hashoah 8.5x11Join Congregation Kneseth Israel – Annapolis in a Day of Remembrance to gain insight into the origins of extremism and hate that unleashed the Holocaust, the indifference that allowed it, and the spirit of the people that withstood it.

Learn to combat prejudice and indifference through film, music, history and a survivor talk as we commemorate those who were lost and those who survived.

The highlights will include music by an Annapolis Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster, oral presentations by the Anti-Defamation League and local Holocaust survivors, an award winning documentary film by a local filmmaker, as well as a communal prayer and candle lighting ceremony led by Rabbi Moshe Weisblum.
