Slovenian accordianist to present free concert at Maryland Hall

Hatlak PhotoA night of accordion music will be performed by Marko Hatlak of Slovenia at 7 p.m. May 14 at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, 801 Chase St., Annapolis.  Admission is free.

Mr. Hatlak is well-known on the international stage for his interpretations of ethnic melodies ranging from the rhythm of the tango, to Irish and Balkan folk music.  He is also respected for his creative presentations of baroque and contemporary music.

A native of Slovenia, Mr. Hatlak has studied in that country as well as nine years in Germany.  His concerts are popular for his ability to musically interact with the audience.  The free concert is presented by World Artists Experiences in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia.

Mr. Hatlak will also perform at 7 p.m. May 13 at the Avalon Theatre in Easton.
