Spotlight on the military: a family showcase

Spotlight PosterR3The Anne Arundel Volunteer Center will hold its second “Spotlight on the Military” event on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, from 12:30–2:30 PM at the “Pip” Moyer Recreation Center, 273 Hilltop Lane, Annapolis 21403. The Showcase is planned as a one-stop shop for area service members, retirees, veterans and their families looking for meaningful volunteer opportunities. Whether your passion is caring for animals, saving the environment, helping the homeless, or anything in between, there’s an awesome organization that needs your help. All ages welcome! It’s free! Come and see what sparks your interest! Stop by and Discover 15+ local organizations where you can volunteer and make a difference. Be sure to check out our Speed Volunteering opportunities! Hands on volunteering in 15 minutes or less! Parking is available. Door prizes will be included. Organizations will have handouts and displays to show what they do and how volunteers can help, but all will spread the word through personal conversations during the event.  For more information, see website at: www.aacvc.org
