The first forum, “ADHD 101,” will be held at 7 p.m. April 16.

Psychologist Dr. Brian Richards and psychiatrist Dr. Janine Fuertes with Oasis: The Center for Mental Health will discuss symptoms, testing methods and treatment options for ADHD — attention deficit hyperactivity disorder — in children, adolescents and adults.

“Feeling Safe in an Unsafe World” is the title of the second forum to be held at 7 p.m. April 23.

Presenters Kathy Miller, a licensed clinical professional counselor and owner of Oasis Mental Health, and Erin Merli, a certified pediatric nurse practitioner at Annapolis Pediatrics, will discuss techniques for helping yourself and loved ones cope with feelings of powerlessness and anxiety when tragedy dominates the news and social media.

The forums are free and open to the public and will include a question and answer period. Parking is free and light refreshments will be provided.

The Severna Park Community Center is located at 623 Baltimore-Annapolis Boulevard in Severna Park. The phone number is 410-647-5843.
