Cleo’s Fine Oils celebrates National Nutrition Month

cleos exterior day 2Good food that is good for you…sounds simple, right? But where do you begin?

Cleo’s Fine Oils and Vinegars in the Annapolis Towne Centre is celebrating March National Nutrition Month by sharing healthy recipes and educating consumers on the physical benefits of olive oil rich diet.

“The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics recommends using olive oil as part of your healthy diet,” said Saleta Cameron, co-owner of Cleo’s.  “Many home cooks know how to use oils and vinegars in meal prep, but what about snacks? Snacking is the source of so many empty calories. The trick is to take in less ‘bad’ fat while maintaining great taste. This can be particularly challenging when dealing with the picky palates of children.”

Thursday, March 19, from 5-7 pm, Cleo’s will offer free samples of healthy snacks that kids AND adults will love. Adult guests can enjoy a complimentary glass of wine as they shop and receive 20% off any purchase of oils and vinegars. Cleo’s staff will be on hand to answer questions, offer free product tastings and share recipes.

In addition, all during the month of March, Cleo’s will share health tips and recipes on Facebook and Twitter. For more information, contact Cleo’s at 410.266.5540 or email [email protected].

Cleo’s Fine Oils and Vinegars (1915 Towne Centre Blvd., Annapolis, MD) is a local, family-owned business that opened in the Annapolis Towne Centre in 2012. Cleo’s also offers an online shopping cart at www.cleosfineoils.com
