Join Haley DeMaria as she shares her remarkable journey. Beginning with the lessons she learned as a young swimmer, Haley chronicles her journey as told in her book, What Though the Odds – Haley Scott’s Journey of Faith and Triumph, including paralysis, six back surgeries, and the role her teammates, family and community played in her recovery. Reflecting on her journey, Haley shares with gratitude the lessons she has learned as tragedy has shaped her life in positive ways.
Haley’s book, What Though the Odds, is currently being adapted into a full-length feature film; only the third movie allowed to be filmed at the University of Notre Dame (Rudy and Knute Rockne: All-American with Ronald Regan being the other two). The Haley Scott Story (working title) has been written by Kara Holden (Soul Surfer), will be directed by Duane Adler (Save the Last Dance) and produced by Tom Allen (Passion of the Christ), Tony Blain (A League of Their Own), and Dave Collins. With Haley as a consulting partner, the producing team is currently wrapping up pre-production, with filming planned to begin next winter, and set for a 2016 release.
