APD to host Naptown Trot for Special Olympics

image005The 2015 Naptown Trot 5K Walk/Run, presented by the Annapolis Police Department in support of Special Olympics Maryland (SOMD), which provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports events for Maryland’s children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

The 5K course around Maryland’s State Capital will feature views of Historic Main Street, City Dock, the Governor’s Mansion and the Maryland State House. Awards will be distributed to the top fundraising team and individual, the top three overall males and females, as well as the top three males and females in each age group. Participants can pre-register through March 25th at www.NaptownTrot.com. Participants are also able to register on-site.

 WHO:               More than 200 walkers and runners will participate
