A “who’s who” in Maryland to play charity football game in April

2015 BF Football Bash logoOn Friday, April 17, the Bowen Foundation for Autism will host its first-ever Charity Football Bash at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, MD. This event will bring together football fans and charity supporters alike for a unique opportunity to support a great cause through a charity flag football game. Gates will open at 5:00 pm, with the women’s game at 7:00 pm and the men’s game starting at 8:00 pm. In total, more than 60 men and women will take the field to showcase their skills and raise money for a cause so near and dear to the hearts of many: helping local children living with autism.

“We cannot be more appreciative of the outpouring of support this community has shown the Bowen Foundation and our first charity football game,” said Bryan Levy, president of the Bowen Foundation. “So many friends, colleagues and complete strangers have asked how the can help support us and raise money for local families. It is going to be an incredibly fun evening and we hope this community will show up in droves to root for—or against—their favorite players!”

In addition to a men’s and women’s game, there will great food and drink available during this family-friendly event, as well as a children’s play area provided by the Chesapeake Bayhawks. Maryland Speaker of the House Mike Busch will conduct the ceremonial coin toss and Maryland Delegate Herb McMillian and Annapolis Michael Pantelides will also be participating. The Bowen Foundation for Autism is a nonprofit organization that seeks to improve the lives of children living with autism in Maryland.

Katcef Brothers and Bud Light are the title sponsors of the Football Bash and dozens of local businesses have also offered their support.
