10th Annual Emily Schindler Memorial Lecture scheduled

image003-1Chesapeake Life Center invites the community to the 10th Annual Emily Schindler Memorial Lecture titled “Do it Well, Make it Fun. The Key to Success in Life, Death and Almost Everything in Between” presented by author and humorist Ron Culberson from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. April 15 at the Conference Center at the Maritime Institute, 692 Maritime Blvd., Linthicum Heights, MD. The cost is $45. Parking is free.

The lecture was created in 2005 through a gift to the Schindler Family from the Saint Agnes Cancer Center. Emily Schindler was an 18-year-old freshman at Frostburg State University and a member of the SPY swim team in Severna Park, MD when she was tragically killed in a car accident in 2004.

Based on Culberson’s book with the same title, the lecture will provide an engaging, fun and practical presentation for care professionals, leaders and community members on how to create a less stressful work environment.  It also helps attendees understand that excellence combined with fun and humor can improve productivity, create better working relationships, enhance creativity, change the workplace culture, and lead to the delivery of improved care.

Three Continuing Education Credits will be awarded for social workers licensed by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners, pending Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists. Parking is free. Hotel accommodations are available.  You may register online at chesapeakelifecenter.org or call 888-501-7077.
