On February 23rd just before 8:30 p.m. firefighters were dispatched for the report of tires on fire at K and K Tires located at 816 Oregon Avenue in the Oregon Business Park.
Units arrived to find several large piles of tires and several vehicles on fire to the rear of the business. The equivalent of two alarms worth of equipment brought 65 firefighters from Anne Arundel, Baltimore and Howard Counties, Baltimore City and BWI Airport who brought the fire under control in about five hours.
Firefighters remained on location throughout the night, finally clearing the scene around 6:00 this morning.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and no dollar loss has been established.
