The count of pedestrians hit by vehicles increased again this weekend as four people were hit with one fatality.
Linthicum
On January 30th at 9:32 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to the area of Rt. 295 North in the area of Rt. 195 for a reported pedestrian struck. A 42 year old female was determined to be deceased on the scene.
Maryland City
On January 31st at 3:32 p.m., units were dispatched for a reported pedestrian struck in the area of Rt. 198 and Russett Green East. Units arrived on the scene and located a 23 year old male who had been struck by an auto. He was transported to Shock Trauma Baltimore by paramedics with serious, not believed to be life threatening injuries.
At 9:13 p.m. on February 1st, firefighters were dispatched to the area of Rt. 295 North between the county line and Rt. 198 for a report of two pedestrians struck by an auto. Units arrived on the scene and located two adults who had been struck by a vehicle while they were attempting to change a flat tire. A 38 year old male patient was transported by paramedics to Laurel Regional Hospital with critical, life threatening injuries and a 28 year old female was transported to Shock Trauma Baltimore by paramedics with injuries that were serious but not believed life threatening.
