Cuban Nights raised $40K for Arts Council

Two hundred and fifty guests gathered to support the arts and historic preservation at the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County Gala fundraiser, Carnival Around the World “Cuban Nights. The 17th annual gala took place on January 3lst and raised approximately $40,000 for nonprofit and educational arts and cultural programs in Anne Arundel County.

Held at the BWI Hilton, this year’s theme  “Cuban Nights” and included a cocktail reception, dinner, live and silent auctions plus entertainment and dancing with a salsa beat.    The seven-piece ensemble of Pa’Gozar Band had attendees on their feet doing the Salsa, Cha- cha, Rhumba, and Merengue.  This year’s Chairmen for the 17th annual gala were Sydney Lamb and Robert Pardo.

Carnival Around the World sponsors included: Annapolis Facial Plastic Surgery, BB&T Bank, COPT, Council, Baradel and Kosmerl, Howard Bank, Johns Hopkins Healthcare, Kagan & Law Firm, M&T Bank, and Maryland LIVE Casino! plus Niland & Company Jewelers; The Schuh Family Foundation; Barefoot Wines and Minuteman Press.
