Chamber Orchestra Kremlin to perform March 17th at Maryland Hall

KremlinA concert by the 15-member Chamber Orchestra Kremlin will be presented free to the public at 7 p.m. March 17 at the Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, 801 Chase St., Annapolis.

Presented by World Artists Experiences, the program will include classical selections played with a contemporary flair and musical enthusiasm.  Begun in 1991 in Moscow by its founder and conductor, Misha Rachievsky, the group has performed

throughout Europe and the United States.  A violinist by training, Mr. Rachievsky is also the founder of the New American Chamber Orchestra.

The Annapolis program will feature music by Rossini, Prokopiev, Tchaikovsky and Saint-Saens.  Ariel Horowitz, a student at Juilliard School in New York City, will be a soloist in the Saint-Saens piece.

The free concert is presented by WAE in partnership with the Embassy of Russia.
