Annapolis Police arrest man who robbed woman in Giant Food parking lot

Michael Harsanyi, 24, of Pasadena

On February 17th Michael Harsanyi, 24, of Pasadena was arrested for the robbery reported on February 16th at 6:40 pm in the parking lot of the Bay Forest Center.  The victim reported she was placing groceries in her car when approached by the suspect who displayed a knife.  The suspect took the victim’s purse and fled the area in a car driven by a second suspect.

Detectives were able to identify the suspect based on a vehicle description given by the victim and through other means. 

Harsanyi was charged with armed robbery, robbery, first and second degree assault, two counts of theft, three counts related to using a stolen credit card, possession of a deadly weapon, and reckless endangerment.  He is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center on $60,000 bond.
