Few tickets remain for Irish rockers, Scythian

ScythianRamsheadScythian is coming to town on March 7th!  You loved then at the Annapolis Irish Festival, now see them up close and personal in a full-on concert at Rams Head On Stage in Annapolis.  Tickets are selling fast, so the word of warning is — but now while you still can!

Rousing and raucous, Scythian (sith-ee-yin) plays kicked-up Celtic and world music with hints of Gypsy and Klezmer, all infused with a touch of punk-rock sensibility. Take a trio of classically trained dueling fiddlers, toss in a rhythm guitar, a banjo and the occasional funky accordion, then power it with the driving rhythm of a world percussionist, and you’ve got the ingredients for a show you won’t soon forget.

Scythian is: Josef Crosby (Fiddle/Bass), Alexander (Fiddle/Mandolin) & Danylo Fedoryka (accordion/guitar), Ben-David Warner (Fiddle/Banjo) and Andrew Toy (Percussion).

Opening will be Irish favorite, Danny Burns, the “new D.C favorite” who hails from Donegal, has a new EP, “Human Heart” in the works.

Danny has worked with Grammy-nominated record producer Warren Huart to create his debut album, “Off The Grid.” Huart (The Fray, James Blunt, Matisyahu) has managed to pull at the roots of Burns’ Irish blood, cultivating his passion, and showcasing Burns’ narrative songwriting, unique vocals and soulful delivery.
