The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum’s floating fleet of historic boats will be featured in a segment of Maryland Public Television’s February 5 broadcast of its signature series, Chesapeake Collectibles. The floating fleet is part of the museum’s collection of Chesapeake Bay watercraft, and can be seen along CBMM’s waterfront campus in St. Michaels, MD.

“We enjoyed working with MPT to film the segment here this past November,” said CBMM Chief Curator Pete Lesher. “Since the museum’s beginnings 50 years ago and with thanks to many generous donors, our collection has grown to include vessels ranging from sink boxes to an 1889 log-bottom bugeye, making our collection of Chesapeake Bay watercraft the largest in the world.”

Chesapeake Collectibles is one of MPT’s most watched series, with the half-hour educational show sharing the stories and values of antiques and treasures found across the Chesapeake region. For more information, visit www.chesapeakecollectibles.com or www.cbmm.org.
