Leadership Project: SPHS and Arden’s Angels

severna parkLauren Fanshawe, Emma Chamberlin, Makenna Lee, Kelly Franchak, and Tiffeny Ayoola fundraised $160 outside of Clements Hardware. The money was used to buy gift cards for a family sponsored by the YWCA.

Fanshawe and her team traveled to the YWCA on December 22 with cards, baked goods, and a prepared craft for their leadership project, Arden’s Angels.

The YWCA bused students and families from the Arden House to the main campus site. There, the children created Christmas wreaths. They were provided with an example wreath, which was crafted using green paper hand prints, a circular base piece, glue, glitter glue, markers, and ribbon.

The team interacted with the children by helping them make the Christmas wreaths. The children were free to make Christmas cards for their families. There were ten children and four adults. The parents and children enjoyed the cards and baked goods that were made for this occasion.
