Some quotes from the event by members of the Rotary Club and the public-

“What a terrific way to highlight all of the good that goes on right here in our very own back yard.”

“This was a terrific event! It highlighted and created a greater awareness of so many charities and causes. Kids were able to get involved and help decorate, and also learn about the other charities in the process –  everyone is a winner with this one!

“We had a blast with this event and got to share the purpose of Rotary with so many new people that live right here in our community.

“We are grateful to learn about non-profits in the community that we did not know about before.  This is a great way to see those that we can support.”

The local Rotary Club is the recent awardee of the “2014 Foundation of the Year Award” presented by the Anne Arundel County Community Foundation for its work with local projects such as Lighthouse, the dictionary project as well as the Back Pack Project, which provides meals for 115 kids in the elementary Schools throughout South County on a weekly bases.
