Meteorologist Justin Berk chooses Chesapeake Eye Care for LASIK surgery

maria-scottChesapeake Eye Care & Laser Center and TLC Laser Eye Center of Annapolis are pleased to announce that Justin Berk, award winning meteorologist and internet personality, had a successful LASIK procedure with Dr. Maria Scott. Berk, who has long suffered poor vision, will be chronicling his journey through LASIK eye surgery via videos and blog posts and updates to his popular Facebook page.

“We are thrilled that Justin Berk chose us for his LASIK procedure because we knew that LASIK, if he was a candidate, would really change his life. In addition to his work as a professional meteorologist, he leads an incredibly active lifestyle and good eyesight is key to him both personally and professionally.” said Dr. Scott, Founder and Medical Director of Chesapeake Eye Care & Laser Center and Medical Director of TLC Laser Eye Center of Annapolis.

Dr. Maria Scott, who was the first surgeon in Annapolis to treat patients with LASIK eye surgery, is one of the nation’s most respected cataract and refractive surgeons. With a reputation for excellence that extends from her patients to colleagues throughout the medical community, her passion to improve her patients’ quality of life is evident throughout every aspect of her practice. Always ahead of the curve, she is often the first to offer new techniques and treatments to her patients. Focused on results, she has one of the lowest enhancement rates for LASIK patients in the country.

“I’ve worn contact lenses for years and was a little nervous about getting LASIK,” commented Berk. “But when I met with Dr. Scott and saw how thorough her evaluation process was, I felt like I was in very good hands. I know it sounds cliché, but I really wish I had gotten LASIK years ago. It was so worth it! I’m excited to test my new eyes snowboarding this winter and on my second trek next summer.”
