Barktoberfest a huge success

barktoberThe SPCA of Anne Arundel County celebrated its rendition of Oktoberfest with a fundraiser on Saturday, October 25th held at the Green Turtle in Annapolis. With a festive atmosphere of dogs (and some of their human companions) in costume, the day was packed with great music, food, and raffle items. For the dog costume pet parade, a total of 38 dogs registered to partake in the canine fun.  A lot of those who registered for the parade were previously adopted from the SPCA.

Barktoberfest is a great way to help raise awareness and help raise fund for the many homeless animals at the SPCA, while also creating a fun environment for families and pet owners to celebrate the joys of pet ownership. Because of the support from the community, they raised $965.48 to help continue to provide shelter, humane care, veterinary, and rehabilitation care for the animals currently at the facility.
