After experiencing a 100% growth in business and in personnel, Quintain Marketing, a boutique marketing agency in Annapolis, celebrated the grand opening of their new offices at 1819 Bay Ridge Avenue.

Quintain’s roots are in the promotional products industry. However, during the recession, sales dropped and as CEO Kathleen Booth said, “small businesses were looking for ways to market themselves effectively with little cost.” Quintain added social marketing to their services and ultimately inbound marketing.

Inbound marketing is a relatively new concept that seems to defy traditional marketing methods. Instead of the old outbound marketing methods of buying ads, buying email lists, and cultivating sales leads, inbound marketing focuses on creating quality content that pulls people toward your company and product.  For example, instead of flooding the market with ads for snow shovels; inbound marketing would create content about how to shovel snow without breaking your back–which would, of course, have information on the best snow shovels for the task.

Quintain has a strong presence in the insurance market and also works with many local businesses including Metropolitan Kitchen & Lounge, O’Callaghan Hotel, Tsunami, iJet Intelligent Risk Systems, Chesapeake Eye Care, and Bay Ridge Wine & Spirits.

On hand to celebrate their successes and to officially cut the ribbon on the new offices were Maryland Speaker of the House of Delegates, Mike Busch, Delegate Herb McMillan, and representatives from Anne Arundel County Executive Laura Neuman’s office.
