juniorleageJunior League of Annapolis, Inc. (JLA) invites local Anne Arundel County organizations and governmental agencies, interested in applying to partner with JLA, to attend its three-hour workshop on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 9 A.M. in the Community Room located at 130 Lubrano Drive, Lower Level, Annapolis, Maryland.

JLA currently focuses on the issue areas of Minding the Poverty Gap and the Self Sufficiency of Women and Teens. These two areas help define the allocation of JLA’s financial and volunteer resources.

JLA is looking for two strong community partners that have or would like to develop a new project. The project must meet local community needs and should align with the JLA focus area of the Self-Sufficiency of Women and Teens.

“Partnerships are extremely important to Junior League of Annapolis. We are excited at the prospect of teaming up with fantastic community organizations and agencies to develop and support projects, which will improve our local community,” says Julie Pfanstiel, member of Junior League of Annapolis’s COPR Committee.

JLA is an organization of over 150 active women who contribute over 10,000 volunteer hours per year. Within its focus area of the Self-Sufficiency of Women and Teens, JLA will develop, organize and provide volunteers for selected projects, as well as designate up to $10,000 annually to successfully implement and improve these projects over a three-year period.

Local organizations and governmental agencies, interested in partnering with JLA, are encouraged to attend the upcoming Request For Proposal workshop where further guidance will be provided for interested parties. The workshop is not mandatory, though is suggested for proper proposal application submittal. No reservation is required to attend.

Application packets will be available in October at the JLA Headquarters at 128 Lubrano Drive, Suite L-101, Annapolis, Maryland 21401 and online at jlannapolis.org.

For more information about this opportunity, please contact Julie Pfanstiel at [email protected].
