First the bad news. The Southern Maryland Blues Festival will not be happening in 2015. Unfortunately, the festival did not do as well as expected for the 2nd year in a row. But the good news is that the Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival will be back for 2015! The Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival last graced the sands of Sandy Point State Park in 2013 when Bonnie Raitt headlined.
In a post on Facebook this morning, the organizer of both events made the announcement. Both festivals supported many local non-profits and featured major national acts over the years.
