Applications for 2015-16 Opera season available

Opera LogoAuditions for the Annapolis Opera Company’s 2015-16 Season will be held on Friday and Saturday, January 9 & 10, 2015, at the Academy of Vocal Arts (AVA) in Philadelphia, PA, and on Thursday and Friday, January 15 & 16, 2015, at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts (MHCA) in Annapolis, MD.

For the 2015-16 season the company will present a fully staged production of Gounod’s Faust on March 13 & 15, 2016 and two aria concerts – “Vive la France!” in October, 2015, and “Angels and Demons” in December , 2015. “We’re very excited about presenting Faust,” commented Annapolis Opera President Lee Finney, “as it will be an Annapolis Opera premier.”

Applications will be available until midnight on November 26, 2014. While there are no residency restrictions, professional singers from the Mid-Atlantic region are especially encouraged to apply.

There is a $25 non-refundable application fee. Applications for which payment has not been made by Nov. 26, 2014 will not be considered.

Auditions are by appointment only. Applicants will be notified of their audition status no later than December 5, 2014 (AVA) or December 10 (MHCA).
