The Golden Dragons are recognized throughout the United States and abroad as the premiere Chinese acrobatic touring company today.  The performance introduces patrons of all ages to the ancient art of Chinese acrobatics, a long-running tradition that began in China well over 2000 years ago. Over its long and rich history it has developed as one of the most popular art forms among the Chinese people.  Acrobatics in China began to evolve from the working lives of its people. Instruments of labor, such as tridents and wicker rings, and articles of daily use such as tables, chairs, jars, plates and bowls began to be used as performance props.  Many of these elements continue to be part of the acrobatic performances.

GoldenDragonsWorld renowned impresario Danny Chang and choreographer Angela Chang combine to present a show of breathtaking skill and spellbinding beauty.  They have been touring throughout the United States continuously since 1978.  The 30 members of the Golden Dragon Acrobats are athletes, actors and artists who have studied and trained since early childhood. The troupe has performed in over 65 countries across the world and in each of the 50 states.

The impact of Chinese acrobatics goes far beyond the boundaries of performance as it has served an important role in the cultural exchange between China and Western nations including the United States. Touring companies such as the Golden Dragon Acrobats help portray the hard-working nature of the Chinese people and showcase the rich traditions of Chinese culture.
