Nearly two hours later, a helicopter from Anne Arundel County was still searching for a suspect and there was a large police presence in the area.
Details surrounding the incident are still not available, but the Rec Center did send a tweet indicating that the cardio room was unavailable for the evening. From a witness on the scene, the shot was fired toward (not necessarily into) the rec center and the window of the cardio room was shattered.
The cardio room at PMRC is closed tonight. Please check back on Tuesday about a re-opening time. We apologize; thanks for your understanding
