Logan Brill, Rob Baird bring tour to Rams Head On Stage in October

loganbrillrobbairdLogan Brill and Rob Baird are teaming for a tour this fall and coming to Annapolis on October 8th with a co-bill that showcases two of Nashville publishing company and record label Carnival Music’s most exciting new artists. See below for a list of dates.

The two young songwriters, both Tennessee natives, are in good company with Carnival Music. Owned and operated by producer Frank Liddell (Miranda Lambert, Chris Knight, Lee Ann Womack), Carnival is home to established songwriters like Stoney LaRue, Troy Jones, Scooter Carusoe and David Nail and is responsible for generating thirteen number one songs in the past decade. As a label, Carnival Recording Company is also known for launching the career of Eli Young Band.

As 23-year-old Knoxville native Logan Brill performed in front of 15,000 fans alongside The Band Perry in Virginia Beach this summer, it seemed hard to believe that just a year ago she was preparing for the release of her debut album ‘Walking Wires.’

In that brief time period, the rising roots songstress became a breakout success. Press outlets like Billboard, Country Weekly, CMT Edge, CMA Close Up and the Chicago Sun Times embraced her poignant lyrics and refreshingly authentic sound, imbued with a “bluesy American grit” (Southern Living) that distinguishes her as “a far cry from the slick pop country of many of her contemporaries” (The Boot).

In the same year, she was invited to join the Country Music Hall of Fame’s artist membership program; performed live on NPR’s Mountain Stage; had a nationally televised appearance on WGN News and shared stages with everyone from Steve Earle, Gary Allan and Todd Snider to Josh Turner and Ashley Monroe.

With some hard work and a thoughtful, earnest songwriting style that draws comparisons to artists like Ryan Adams, Chris Knight, and Tom Petty, Memphis native Rob Baird has forged a path of his own through the crowded airwaves and well-trodden highways traveled by so many songwriters before him.

His last release, ‘I Swear It’s The Truth,’ was named one of the top twenty albums of the year by Spin Magazine, and featured the hit single, “Dreams and Gasoline” which was featured in the ABC drama “Nashville” and earned support from Sirius XM and CMT.

Baird’s fanbase grew dramatically following the success of ‘I Swear It’s The Truth,’ as he toured with artists like Eli Young Band and Don Williams and began headlining his own dates. Baird has honed his songwriting skills even further, collaborating with Nashville hit makers like Mark Nesler, Scooter Carusoe, Marla Cannon, and Billy Montana as he prepares for his next release in early 2015.
