Lipstick & Liquor: Secrets in the Suburbs

lipstickandliquorChrysalis House, Inc. based in Crownsville, Maryland is proud to announce that they will be hosting a movie screening of “Lipstick & Liquor: Secrets in the Suburbs” on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Indian Creek Upper School. The event will begin with a reception with light refreshments at 6:00 pm.

The film, based on true-life accounts of women and their struggles related to alcoholism and substance abuse, will begin at 7pm, with a Q&A panel immediately following at 8:30 pm. The panel will be made up of several women including: Lori Butterfield, the film’s Director/Writer/ and Producer; Lorene Lake, Executive Director for Chrysalis House, Inc.; Mary George, who is in the film; and a current client of the Chrysalis House.

“The struggle of addiction is something that touches many throughout their lives; yet the stigma for women still has not changed ” explained Lorene Lake, Executive Director of the Chrysalis House “we’re so thankful to be able to show this film and bring light to such a serious topic regarding women’s health.”

Tickets are $15.00 per person or (2) tickets for $20.00. Advanced ticket purchase is required with tickets available at www.chrysalishouses.org.
