annapolisskyWith assistance from the Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Conference and Visitors Bureau (AAACCVB) and the City of Annapolis, Fox 5 WTTG TV from Washington, DC will be presenting its morning show live from Susan Campbell Park at City Dock on Friday, September 5, from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

In the course of their four-hour “Zip Trip” to Annapolis, Fox 5 hosts will invite viewers to experience some of the many “Must Sees” of Maryland’s capital city – including getting on the water, history and heritage, arts and culture, the U.S. Naval Academy, and Annapolis and Chesapeake Bay cuisine. In addition to pre-taped segments, the show will include live interviews with elected officials and representatives from area businesses and organizations.

AAACCVB President and CEO Connie Del Signore invites all interested individuals to head to City Dock for the September 5 live show. According to Del Signore, “It will be a great way to introduce Fox 5 viewers to the heart of Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay – its people!”

While Fox 5 is not planning to interview people from the City Dock audience, they will be doing audience shots. Individuals who bring creative signs might just find themselves on TV.

Throughout the summer, Fox 5 TV has been doing Friday “Zip Trips” to selected destinations in their viewing area. The “Zip Trips” generally rally behind a specific event that will be taking place in the featured destination that weekend. Among the events taking place in Annapolis September 5-7 are: the Maryland Seafood on September 6 and 7, Maryland Hall’s Arts Alive on September 5, and the National Treaty of Paris Festival on September 6.

The AAACCVB is a nonprofit, membership-based destination marketing organization that generates revenues for the local economy by promoting Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay to leisure and business travelers across the country and around the world.
