Annapolis Police One Mile Challenge

running_feetThe Annapolis City Police Department will host the 5th annual One Mile Challenge on Saturday, October 4, 2014 through the Annapolis Historic District. The One Mile Challenge will benefit Special Olympics Maryland (SOMD), which provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports events for Maryland’s children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

The One Mile Challenge is a fun, family-friendly event for all ages and skill levels, featuring a 1 mile race through Annapolis’ main street, an awards ceremony and post race party. Both participants and spectators will enjoy an energized and exciting race to walk, run, or cheer on fellow participants.

WHEN:        Saturday, October 4, 2014 

  • Registration                                8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
  • Race Start                                  9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
  • Awards Ceremony                     9:45 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
