Annapolis Home Expo coming on September 20th

HomeExpoFall14The Annual Fall Annapolis Home and Remodeling Expo, a one-of-a-kind  homeowners event showcasing  products and services for the home, will be held at the National Guard Armory on Saturday and Sunday, September 20th and 21st. Saturday will be from 10am-6pm and 11am-5pm on Sunday. The Armory os located at 18 Willow Street (near the intersection of West and Route 2) and has plenty of free parking.

The Expo gives consumers a chance to participate in educational seminars with national and local celebrities on everything from landscaping, home improvement, antiques, and new this year–how to deal with a haunted house. Nearly one hundred companies will be on hand over the  weekend, showcasing products and services including  kitchen and bath displays, decking, fencing, countertops, tile, home energy systems, home financing,  landscaping, interior design, window treatments, roofing, waterproofing, heating and air and more.  Angie’s List, a great source for finding qualified contractors, is sponsoring a number of free tickets.  Simply sign up for the Expo’s newsletter and save the price of admission!

This year’s event will feature some unique speakers including George Oliphant, a five-time Emmy Award winning host of NBC’s George to the Rescue! On the TV show, George and his team come together to help rescue a family or community in need with everything from design updates, brand new kitchens, community centers and more.  Learn about the renovation process from A to Z for your home, from budgets, design, and more!  George’s workshop will be on Saturday Sept. 20, 12 noon and 3PM!

Terry’s work is often displayed in both barn wood  and lobster pot frames, lending itself to his nautical and farm collection theme. You will be inspired by Terry’s passion and his portfolio. WORKSHOPS

Master Gardener and certified professional horticulturist Lisa Winters of the Masters Gardeners of Anne Arundel County will present a seminar on fall gardening and fall vegetable gardens, Sat. Sept. 20 at 2PM. Bring your questions for the expert!  

The Annapolis Woodworking Guild, Mid Atlantic Deck and Fence, and Johnson Lumber are providing FREE birdhouse building for kids! Starts Saturday at 11AM until 1PM and Sunday 11AM-1PM, while supplies last!
