AAACCVB 250x250Members of the Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Conference and Visitors Bureau’s (AAACCVB) sales team are gearing up to play a high profile role in two national meetings and sports planner conferences.

HSMAI’s MEET

The AAACCVB is co-sponsoring the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International’s (HSMAI) 2014 MEET Conference at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC September 3-4.

As event co-sponsor, the AAACCVB will have a prominent position in the center of the marketplace with a custom-designed 16’ x 30’ booth. The organization will unveil its new meetings and sports sales video to the more than 600 hosted buyers who are expected to attend.

After meeting with 40 planners from across the country in pre-scheduled appointments, the sales team will host select conference attendees on a September 4-5 familiarization tour of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County.

AAACCVB President and CEO Connie Del Signore is scheduled to speak at one of the conference’s educational seminars addressing current industry trends.

S.P.O.R.T.S. The Relationship Conference

The following week, the AAACCVB will host an anticipated 230 sporting events planners and industry suppliers during the September 8-11 S.P.O.R.T.S. The Relationship Conference at U.S. Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis.

In addition to meeting with event rights holders in pre-scheduled appointments, the AAACCVB is embracing its home court advantage with a pre-conference schedule that includes a U.S. Naval Academy tour, golfing at Renditions Golf Course, a Historic Annapolis Food Tour, and an Annapolis Running Tour.

ESPN sailing commentator and America’s Cup Hall of Famer Gary Jobson will deliver the keynote address. The Annapolis-based world class sailor may well inspire event rights holders and representatives from destinations across the country to use their evenings to discover for themselves why Annapolis is the winning ticket for sporting events.

“Our organization will be out in force at these two upcoming events to make our message loud and clear,” says AAACCVB President and CEO Connie Del Signore. “We offer a superior product along with unparalleled service. Our staff is on a mission to enhance existing relationships and cultivate new ones in the meetings and sports planning arena as we continue to generate revenue and jobs for Anne Arundel County.”

Del Signore’s organization is hosting S.P.O.R.T.S. The Relationship Conference with the help of funding from Maryland Sports. Westin Annapolis is the host hotel for the event.

The AAACCVB is a nonprofit, membership-based destination marketing organization that generates revenues for the local economy by promoting Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay to leisure and business travelers across the country and around the world.
