During the month of August 2014, an investigator with the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Child Abuse Unit began communicating online with an individual who was soliciting young females on the internet for sex.
The investigator was posing online as a 13-year-old girl. During these communications the suspect solicited the investigator for this purpose and suggested they meet for a sexual encounter.
On August 29th, the suspect attempted to meet the “13-year-old” at a location in Anne Arundel County.
Once he arrived at that predetermined location he was taken into custody and identified as Nicholas Benjamin Hittle. Mr. Hittle was arrested and charged with Sexual Solicitation of
a Minor.
Detectives from the Child Abuse Unit participate with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. They have received specialized training to conduct these types of investigations.
Suspect: Nicholas Benjamin Hittle, 34, 8000 Block Wayne Rd. located in Severn, MD.
