On August 31, 2014 at approximately 8:08 a.m., officers from the Northern District responded to the Popeye’s Restaurant located at 5317 Ritchie Highway N. Brooklyn Park, MD.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the manager who arrived in the morning to open the business. The manager found an employee, an adult female in her 40s, suffering from significant trauma to her body. She was found in a back stock area of the business.
The victim was determined to be deceased at the scene. Investigation revealed that the victim worked at the restaurant on the evening of August 30, 2014. It is unknown at this time exactly when this incident occurred. We are investigating this as a homicide, but we have yet to determine the motive.
