Junior League to host 2 new member open houses

juniorleageJunior League of Annapolis, Inc. invites women in the community who are interested in learning more about joining the Junior League to attend one of its New Member Open Houses.

Two New Member Open House events are available for prospective members. The first will take place on August 16, 2014 from 11-12:30 p.m. in Davidsonville. The second opportunity will take place on September 10, 2014 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Metropolitan Kitchen & Lounge on West Street in Annapolis.

All women over the age of 21 years, living in Anne Arundel County and its vicinity, are invited to attend these open house events and apply for membership to the organization’s fall 2014 provisional training classes.

The New Member Open House offers prospective members the opportunity to learn about the mission and activities of Junior League, as well as the chance to speak with current members about their volunteer and social experiences within the organization.

“Junior League of Annapolis, Inc. is an organization of outstanding talented women who come from all walks of life. As members of the League, we have a true impact on what happens in our communities. The projects we currently focus on have made a difference in the lives of women and children in Anne Arundel County. JLA is always looking for new members who are interested in contributing to the community and developing themselves as leaders,” says Heidi Schmidt, Provisional Committee Chair.
