Anne Arundel County Executive Laura Neuman today announced she will host the county’s second Tele-Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, May 28 from 6-7 p.m.

“As the Fiscal Year 2015 budget is finalized, I want to remain transparent about how taxpayer dollars will be spent in Anne Arundel County in the coming year,” said County Executive Neuman. “I’m excited that so many folks have shared their input throughout this process, and I look forward to continuing that conversation.”

Following Neuman’s May 1 delivery of her FY15 budget proposal – which represented her priorities of saving taxpayer money, maximizing reserve funds, ending structural debt, investing in public safety, improving delivery of services and planning for the county’s future – the County Council is conducting its review process and will release the approved operating and capital budgets by June 15.

Neuman is inviting county residents to call in during the Tele-Town Hall with inquiries regarding the budget, as well as other current county happenings. Participants will have the opportunity to speak with the County Executive directly and have their questions answered over the phone throughout the meeting.

To participate in the Tele-Town Hall, call 800-857-5167 at the time of the event and provide passcode 2532448. A moderator will facilitate caller participation. Follow the question-and-answer session live on Twitter via @AACountyGovt.
